Partly inspired by PoserP's FM vids, I'm wanting to learn more about FM.
A few months ago, I got a good deal on BigTick's Rhino synth, and tinkered with it some, and have studied the manual a little bit. I don't know enough about FM to know how to make the best use of it. I also don't know how the 6 x 6 matrix compares/translates to/from the various algorithms of a yamaha rig.
On another note, I also found a 4-op FM synth app (iDX) for $2, that might help me learn more-- (can't find a manual for it, though, and so far, I'm just fishing in the dark).
Ultimately, I'm just trying to learn stuff-- and be able to create sounds I like.
We got any Rhino folk here?
